Activities

2015-2016
• Conducted civil service orientation programme which was led by Dr. A. Selvaraj, Professor (Rtd), FMN College, Kollam & Mr. Noble Miller, Coordinator, Civil Service Orientation Programme, South Kerala Diocese. Dr. Rajesh T., Head, Department of History was the co-ordinator of the programme.
• A UGC national seminar on ‘Recent trends in the study of History and Historiography’ was organised by the Department of History on 10th and 11th of September 2015. Dr.Joseph G Muthuraj, Professor &Head, United Theological College, Bangalore, Dr. Muhammad Maheen, Professor &Head, Department of History, University of Calicut, Dr. A. Sathya Raj , Professor (Rtd), Department of History, FMN College, Kollam and Dr. A. Paslithil, Professor & Head, Department of History, Sree Sankaracharya University were the resource persons.
• Members of the alumni of the Department of History provided monetary aid to Ms. Sindhu,. II DC History for her studies on 20.3.2016
• Conducted an extension programme for the members of CSI Chamavila, Kattakada District on ‘Fun Learning for Successful Life’. Dr. Shalini S.V., Assistant Professor in History &Mr. Noble Miller, Programme Co-ordinator Career Guidance Cell, South Kerala Diocese were the resource persons

2016-2017
• An awareness program conducted on 23.04.2016 for the people of CSI Alicode on the topic ‘Intoxicating drinks and demolishing moral values’ by the Department of History. Dr. Shalini S.V., Assistant Professor in History and Mr. Noble Miller, Programme Co-ordinator, Career Guidance Cell, South Kerala Diocese were the resource persons
• The Department of History organised an awareness programme on ‘Plastic Pollution and the Protection of Environment’ on 17.3.2017. Dr. Lubaina, Assistant Professor in Botany was the resource person
• A seminar was conducted on 1.6.2016 in connection with yoga day celebrations. Rev. Dr. T.B. Premjith Kumar, Assistant Professor in History was the resource person

2017-2018
• An awareness program for the public was organised on the topic ‘Plastic Pollution and protection of Environment’ by the Department of History
• An invited talk was organised on ‘Personality development and Creativity’ on 22.3.2018 by the Department of History. Mr. Noble Miller was the resource person.

2018-2019
• A training program for the students was organised by the Department of History in association with Network Systems, Technology Training Company, Neyyattinkara,
• Alumni (2004-2007) of Department of History organised a meeting on 16.2.2019 and 2006-2009 batch on 27.4.2019.
